Craftsmanship
Polished for three days
Each frame is milled from a block of acetate, then tumbled in wood for seventy-two hours. The five-barrel hinge is riveted, never glued.
Material
Tortoise, in depth
A translucent dark tortoise, layered so that light passes through rather than over it. Hold it to the window: the brown turns to amber.
